It analyzes the prolonged quest for justice by conflict victims, the influence of political interference on accountability mechanisms, and the enduring legal and operational challenges facing the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) and the Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons (CIEDP).
