Building a Regional Network on Gender Inclusion in Political Participation

Democracy Resource Center Nepal (DRCN) conducted research on Women’s Political Participation in Federal Nepal: Achievement and Challenges supported by The Asia Foundation as a part of the regional coalition Gender and Social Inclusion between Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. The project was led by People’s Action for Free and Fair Elections (PAFFREL), an organization based in Sri Lanka. For Nepal, the in-country research was conducted by Democracy Resource Center Nepal (DRCN) and Wave Foundation carried out research in Bangladesh. The program continued from March to August 2023. Each organization prepared an in-country report, and a combined report was launched in October 2024 in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
