The House of Representatives Election 2026 marked an important milestone in Nepal’s democratic journey. To assess the electoral process, the Democracy Resource Center Nepal (DRCN) conducted a nationwide election observation mission.

Drawing on these observations, this report analyzes key aspects of the election, including election management, campaign practices, voter education, political party activities, code of conduct compliance, digital campaigning, social media influence, inclusion of marginalized groups, election security, and the overall democratic environment.

The report also provides practical recommendations to strengthen the credibility, inclusiveness, transparency, and effectiveness of future elections in Nepal, serving as a valuable resource for policymakers, election stakeholders, researchers, and civil society.
